Our thoughts create our world and if your world is feeling dark and gloomy how do you pick yourself up?

What can you do to shift your thoughts and break through that darkness with healing light?


When I am feeling lost or going through a difficult phase I usually find peace in remembering that God has a plan for my life and all I have to do is trust in Him.


I hope and pray that you will find strength and a renewed outlook while reflecting on the bible verses below.



The scriptures below are not just about repeating to one’s self but also believing that what you are saying is true.

Draw on God’s strength to help you change your thoughts.



SCRIPTURES TO COMBAT NEGATIVE THOUGHTS



1. Psalm 139:14 (KJV)

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.




2. Psalms 34:18 (NIV)

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.



3. 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.




4. Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.




5. Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.



6. Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.



7. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always,

Pray without ceasing,

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.




8. Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.




9. Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand




10. Philipains 4:8
