RAFJAM BED & BREAKFAST IN ST. ANDREW, JAMAICA
RafJam is an eccentric bed and breakfast located at Hopewell Road, Irish Town, St.Andrew. The surrounding community in which this Bed & Breakfast resides is Red Light District. A few shops are located on the outskirts where you can indulge in Jamaican snacks and more depending on what they have available. Some may see it as a rest stop en route to the infamous Holywell Park and New Castle.
The owner of RAFJAM is Susan de Campos Palermo who is a Jamaican.
The name RafJam means Rafael Jamaica.
At Rafjam, they entertain our locals and tourists from all over the world.
Rafjam has been in operation for eleven years and started with one room. Their services include a restaurant, a bar, several rooms, a majestic waterfall, and a river pool.
This venue is ideal for groups, families, or anyone wishing to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and you have the option of an overnight stay or just chill for the day.
They now have nine rooms in total including their newest room known as "The Cave".

THE JOURNEY TO RAFJAM
Going to Rafjam you can take a cab or drive your own vehicle. The actual road leading to Rafjam can either be driven on or you may walk along the trail from the Red Light District area.
The walk is roughly twenty minutes, depending on how physically fit you are it could be less. The view along the trail is majestic and the closer you get to Rafjam you will hear the sound of the river along the path. You will notice signs strategically placed along the trail encouraging you as you trod along.

In my opinion, an off-road vehicle would be best but I've seen a few vehicles parked along the path that took on the rugged adventure.

On reaching Rafjam you will see the welcome sign and this home-like doorway entrance. Welcome to my crib! lol
Rafjam has a very relaxing atmosphere and is very quiet. You can surely relax and unwind amongst nature and enjoy the coolness of the mini pools and waterfall surrounding the property. A beautiful garden filled with various flowers and luscious trees surrounds the entire landscape, which I most definitely indulged in as I explored.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
At Rafjam Jamaican dishes are served and done to order. If you would like something specifically prepared you may pre-order your meal as well. There is a bar with a view of the river and garden below. You may dine on the inside of the restaurant or outside on the deck with a view of the property.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
Overall the Rafjam experience is a good one. I've been there on several occasions and would return for the peace and calm felt during my time there.
If you desire peace and tranquility this is a good spot in the hills where you can relax and be one with nature. It's also a good space for quality alone time.
RafJam is open as early as 6 AM and is closed at 11 PM. Reservations are required prior to your arrival.
