The month of February is popularly known as BLACK HISTORY MONTH and is celebrated each year. It is acknowledged in most countries around the world and during this period a myriad of black legends and heroes are celebrated.

To be black means different things for different persons in various cultures. But one thing for sure we definitely know how to celebrate the skin we're in and highlight the dopeness of our culture be it through music, art, spoken word, dance, and other aspects of our way of life.


Uplifting Affirmations are one way in which you can celebrate your melanin and the history that goes along with this time.

Of course, being black is not just the color of our skin! As black women, we should be proud of who we are as a people and embrace the multifaceted gifts and talents we have deep within.


I'll be sharing a few positive affirmations to uplift us as a people, specifically black women.


Affirmations are short declarations filled with positivity. These affirmations are meant to encourage, empower, uplift all my black queens, and nurture your self-esteem.


On the island of Jamaica, we are extremely blessed to have a rich culture that exudes our blackness in every single way. As a nation, we are proud of our strong culture and the part we play in black history.
